We’ve all been there: You finally get around to doing laundry and your clothes are all scrubbed nice and clean. That is, until the second you put on said items of clothing and new stains seem to magically appear out of thin air. (Like, you don’t even remember eating anything red??) It’s inevitable, but it’s part of life. So we felt seen when our friends at Shout posted an extremely relatable video on their socials (see below) that made us both smile and say out loud to ourselves ‘That’s so me.’

But while Shout knows your kid is ready to display their artistic talents as soon as they get near a morsel of food, they also know how to make messes a thing of the past with their reliable suite of stain-fighting products. That’s why we partnered with a few creators who also know a thing or two about never-ending loads of laundry and couldn’t wait to put a few of their favorite Shout products to the test. Check out their videos below and spoiler alert: Those stains didn’t stand a chance.

The Mom:

It’s true, practically no one can identify more with Shout’s meme than parents. But as Sara Martinez (@itsmesaramartinez) puts it, every stain is a story. From an impromptu food fight to a “quiet” coloring session, Sara can practically recount her daughter’s entire day thanks to the stains on her clothing. Luckily, she has Shout Free, which is made without any added dyes or fragrances and is gentle on fabrics, but still tough enough to target stains. For her own clothes, it's Shout Triple Acting to the rescue. The formula is 50 times more concentrated than an in-wash powder when applied directly to the stain. Just let it sit, toss in the wash and it’s good as new. “We keep the stories—not the stains,” says Sara.

The Self-Proclaimed Messy Girl:

“I have never related to anything more,” says Alyssa Thrash (@alyssarayelee) after watching the vid. “I swear I just breathe, and my clothes are stained.” She uses Shout Free for her stained tank top and also gives a shout out (pun intended) to Shout  Color Catcher Dye-Trapping Sheets. With these handy sheets, she can throw her white shirt in with the rest of her laundry and not have to worry about any bleeding or dye-transfer, while still preserving the vibrancy of the original colors. Meanwhile, her coffee stain is completely gone and her shirt is still perfectly white. Win-win.

The Frequent Gardener:

As a gardener, Chevonne Dixon (@thiswellplannedlife) isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. She loves wearing her overalls outside, but they’rea pretty light pink color, aka they’re definitely not hiding any stains. Chevonne doesn’t mind the dirt, though—she uses Shout  Advanced Action Gel because it clings, penetrates and lifts even the toughest stains. In fact, its super-concentrated thick gel was made specifically to tackle stubborn set-in stains, but it’ll easily remove everyday slips and spills too. With that and Shout Free in her arsenal, “I get to have all the fun in my garden, without worrying about stains.”

The Laundry Hack Lover:

Emeline Chang (@emelinechang) is always fighting stains on her clothes and in her home. She shares her favorite laundry hacks she’s learned through experience: Using Shout Free to remove stains from her light-colored tops; Shout Triple Acting to refresh her worn running shoes and remove the tough, set-in stains; and Shout Advanced Ultra Concentrated Gel Brush to tackle mystery stains on her couch fabric. Its built-in brush makes applying the gel easy and the powerful, yet gentle formula even lets you treat stains now and wash up to a week later. Emeline sums it up perfectly: “I love how confident I am that Shout can remove my stains the first time so I can embrace all the messy parts of life.”
