Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer, twin sisters and nieces of the late Princess Diana, brought royal fashion to the red carpet at the 78th Cannes Film Festival in their striking monochromatic ensembles. With nods to their royal heritage and sisterly bond, there's lots to appreciate about the Spencer women's latest French appearance.

Twin dressing never looked so good

The 32-year-old twins made a dramatic entrance at the premiere of La Venue De L’avenir at Cannes' Palais des Festivals, wearing complementary strapless gowns from the Vera Wang Bride x Pronovias 2025 collection. While Amelia donned a white version, Eliza wore its sleek black counterpart. Standing together, they invoke the harmony of the yin yang or—for the New Yorkers out there—a black and white cookie. Whichever way you land in this sartorial Rorschach test, the red carpet impact is fabulous—and totally subverts the idea that dressing together as twins is just for the kids.

Both dresses featured peplum waists, fitted mermaid skirts and flowing chiffon trains. Styled with sleek, matching buns, diamond chokers and drop earrings, the sisters exuded elegance and sophistication.

The coordinated appearance is certainly reminiscent of their aunt, Princess Diana, who was renowned for her fashion-forward choices and bold statements. Diana's brother, Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, is Amelia and Eliza's father.

Joining them on the red carpet at Cannes was their older sister, Lady Kitty Spencer, 34, who showed up in a dazzling purple sequined Dolce & Gabbana gown with a keyhole cutout.

Later that evening, Lady Kitty attended the amfAR Gala in a floor-length white gown reminiscent of her 2021 wedding dress, featuring intricate lace detailing and ruffled sleeves.
Clearly, fashion runs in the family.
