Leave it to Travis Kelce and Paul Rudd to bring the entertainment.
Appearing this weekend at the 16th annual Big Slick Celebrity Weekend at Children's Mercy Hospital, the two had a fun moment on stage as the NFL star lifted the Ant-Man actor in the air unexpectedly as he was talking to the crowd. Fortunately, photographers caught the candid (and wacky) moment on camera.
Jokes and laughter aside, the event was one for a good cause. First established in 2010, when Kansas City native Rob Riggle called upon Rudd and Jason Sudeikis to form a poker tournament as a way to raise money for the hospital, the weekend has since transformed into a multi-million-dollar fundraising event, bringing in $4.5 million this year alone.
"Every dollar raised goes directly to Children’s Mercy to advance Big Slick’s goal of eradicating pediatric cancer," reads the mission statement on their website. Other celebrities in attendance included Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate, Patrick Mahomes, Heidi Gardner, Fortune Feimster and more.
Kelce has been enjoying what’s left of his offseason before he returns to training camp, and accidentally spilled the beans back in May that his superstar girlfriend, Taylor Swift, might be living with him. During the May 14 episode of his New Heights podcast, he spoke a bit about the $20 million Boca Raton property he’s been renting.
"We've got chimneys and we've got furniture," Kelce explained to guest stars Andrew Whitworth and Ryan Fitzpatrick, further adding, "It was an executive decision by myself for the betterment of everyone, yes," when asked by Fitzpatrick if he is the one making the decorative decisions around the house.
Meanwhile, Swift was spotted over the weekend with bestie Selena Gomez wearing a diamond tennis friendship bracelet with the words "TNT" as a tribute to Kelce as the two dined together in New York City.
