1. Green Lake Farmhouse (Catskill, New York)

Airbnb

  • Sleeps: 9
  • Rate: from $932/night
  • Drive Time from NYC: 2 hr 15 min
  • Why We Love It: renovated 1850s farmhouse; heated pool; wrap-around deck with swings

“This is quite possibly my favorite Airbnb I've ever stayed in. My friends and I rented this home over Halloween weekend a few years ago, and it couldn't have been more perfect. The house is sprawling and so unique. The main living area (which includes the kitchen, dining room and living room) is super modern and sleek, with second floor bedrooms, a wonderful master bath and an entertainment room. As you make your way through the attached part of the home, you enter an 1850s farmhouse structure, which has been beautifully updated but maintains a ton of vintage charm, with wood-burning fireplaces throughout and even an antique wood-burning stove.

There are a ton of different spaces for the group to spread out in, but the kitchen, dining room and living room are all more than accommodating when it comes to getting everyone together. I also enjoyed the large wraparound deck for sitting outside in the crisp fall air,” says PureWow Senior Commerce Editor Stephanie Maida of her stay at this unique and decidedly special occasion-worthy property.

  • Sleeps: 6
  • Rate: from $532/night
  • Drive Time from NYC: 1hr 40 min
  • Why We Love It: large backyard; pool; indoor sauna

Stephanie Maida stayed here, too, and gave it rave reviews as a rental that’s well-suited for large gatherings and celebrations: “My crew and I loved this industrial-cool hideaway when we rented it out over Memorial Day weekend a few summers ago. Thanks to its large backyard, al fresco picnic table and accompanying pool, it was the perfect spot to make a splash and ring in summer. But even when we weren't spending time outdoors, we made the most of the spacious living room, which comes complete with the coolest mid-century modern fireplace. I personally loved the open floor plan that marries the kitchen and living room, which made for seamless socializing while some of the group cooked dinner, so no one felt left out. Also really appreciated the old school clawfoot tub in the master bathroom and the in-house sauna—so chic!” Sounds perfect for a spa day-themed bachelorette party to me.

3. Cadosia School Retreat (Hancock, New York)

Airbnb

  • Sleeps: 16+
  • Rate: from $457/night
  • Drive Time from NYC: 1hr 10 min
  • Why We Love It: chef’s kitchen; 13-foot dining table; large lawn with grill and fire pit

“This Airbnb was one of the weirdest, most wonderful stays of my entire life. It’s a converted schoolhouse and every room has so much personality, as does the host (who is lovely and was very accommodating when we accidentally got the checkout time wrong). There’s even a recording studio that is fully open for guests to play in and has a piano, full drum set and multiple guitars. It is truly unique and there’s ample room for a group of 15 adults,” says PureWow fashion editor Abby Hepworth of this rare find. There’s also a sprawling outdoor space and a very swanky kitchen that’s basically begging for a personal chef if you can swing the extra expense for an extra special girl’s night.

  • Sleeps: 12
  • Rate: from $777/night
  • Drive Time from NYC: 2hr 5 min
  • Why We Love It: indoor movie theater; spa with cold plunge and sauna; minutes from Willowemoc Wild Forest

The amenities at this posh rental in the equally posh-sounding area of Livingston Manor are so numerous that you likely won’t need to leave the property at all to enjoy a perfect bachelorette party. (I’m talking about the indoor movie theater that you can use to binge watch as many chick flicks and rom-coms as your heart desires, as well as the cold plunge-sauna combo that’s perfect for a spa retreat.) That said, I’ve spent some time in Livingston Manor and found the main drag to be incredibly charming, and replete with excellent eateries, wine shops and cute boutiques.

This particular rental is also just a stone’s throw away from the Willowemoc Wild Forest, so you can gather the gang for some outdoorsy adventures before enjoying a top-notch wood-fired pie at The Kaatskeller and heading home for a champagne toast in the hot tub, or perhaps s’mores and star-gazing around the fire pit.

5. Entire Rooftop Loft in Park Slope (Brooklyn, NY)

Airbnb

  • Sleeps: 6
  • Rate: from $586/night
  • Why We Love It: city skyline views, large rooftop space, prime location, cozy interior

The cityscape views from the rooftop of this swanky Park Slope loft are breathtaking—and if you’re not super familiar with NYC, it’s worth mentioning that Park Slope is one of Brooklyn’s most coveted neighborhoods, which means that you can expect an abundance of dining, drinking and shopping establishments right in your backyard. Aside from the views, the well-appointed rooftop is a perfect place to dine al fresco and hang out with your besties at any time of day or night. The interior of this rental is designed for maximum comfort and coziness, including a living room that boasts ample seating and many charming details (think: exposed brick walls and a wood-burning fireplace you can actually use).

6. Elegant Riverfront Getaway (Yonkers, NY)

Airbnb

  • Sleeps: 5
  • Rate: from $227/night
  • Drive Time from NYC: 50 min
  • Why We Love It: Hudson river views, rooftop space, resort-style spa and steam room

This rental is best suited for slightly smaller, more intimate bachelorette parties. Still it’s a truly gorgeous, riverfront townhouse in Yonkers, which provides guests with easy access to all that Manhattan has to offer. Plus, there’s a spacious balcony with beautiful views of the Hudson River and a full spa set-up featuring a luxurious steam room—and all of it can be enjoyed from the peace and quiet of a lovely suburban neighborhood. My recommendation? Burn the midnight oil in the big city and then head back to this oasis for a much-needed day of rest and relaxation with your closest friends.

7. 1956 House of the Year (Rye, NY)

Airbnb

  • Sleeps: 6
  • Rate: from $582/night
  • Drive Time from NYC: 1hr 15 min
  • Why We Love It: modern architectural design, nature escape, prime location

Named “House of the Year” in 1956 by Architectural Record and featured in LIFE and House and Garden magazines, this gem, originally designed by architect Ulrich Franzen, has been lovingly maintained to keep all its retro charm. The light-drenched and modernist interior is a lovely juxtaposition with the serene natural surroundings—and it can all be enjoyed from the generous outdoor space or from the comfort of the living area, which is a remarkable all-glass structure. The location is pretty ideal, too: both the quaint town of Rye, which has plenty to offer, and the scenic Kirby Pond are within walking distance, while the Big Apple is just 45 minutes away. If you’re looking for a truly relaxing escape in nature with a medium-sized group for your bachelorette party, this place fits the bill.

8. Soundview Beach House (Wading River, NY)

Airbnb

  • Sleeps: 6+
  • Rate: from $627/night
  • Drive Time from NYC: 3hr
  • Why We Love It: waterfront location, private beach access, outdoor activities

We stayed at Chelsea's for the holidays, and it was perfect. We were able to have folks over, cook, and hang out. We really enjoyed being so close to the water, and looking for shells and watching the sunrise. Chelsea put a lot of thoughtful touches into the house and it really made our holidays with family very special,” writes Julie, a happy guest who evidently took advantage of this property’s great entertaining potential. The private beachfront location is an obvious selling point of this spot, but the sun-drenched interior is squeaky clean, well-appointed and perfect for accommodating a laid-back, seaside bachelorette party escape (complete with kayaking races, perhaps?).

  • Sleeps: 10
  • Rate: from $482/night
  • Why We Love It: urban escape, large patio, private backyard, luxe amenities, historic charm

Head to Harlem with your crew for a luxe city stay at this gem of a townhouse—a newly renovated Brownstone with historic charm to spare and a bevy of modern amenities. The property boasts a large patio with excellent city views and a prime location on a quiet, tree-lined street within close proximity to some of the city’s best attractions. There’s also a private backyard with outdoor seating and indoor sleeping arrangements that can accommodate ten guests, so you’d really be hard-pressed to find a better bachelorette party venue in the big city.

  • Sleeps: 8
  • Rate: from $749/night
  • Why We Love It: close proximity to beach, close proximity to manhattan, large backyard

This gorgeous and very well-appointed home in the City Island neighborhood of The Bronx is perfect for a low-key bachelorette party…but I have to really emphasize the low-key part because the owners have a very strict policy about large event gatherings and rowdy celebrations. In other words, if you are looking for a place to get the girls together for seafood meals at iconic restaurants and nautical, old-school vibes, this dreamy five-star rental is the place for you. If you were planning on hiring a DJ and male strippers, keep scrolling.

  • Sleeps: 8
  • Rate: from $1,177/night
  • Drive Time from NYC: 2hr 15 min
  • Why We Love It: heated pool; open floor plan; 15-foot kitchen island with bar seating

If you’re looking for the best Airbnb for a bachelorette party in the mountains, look no further. Located on 13 private acres in the heart of the Catskills, this stunning property boasts sweeping views of the natural surroundings that can be enjoyed from the large deck (complete with heated pool) or from the comfort of the plush interior, which is drenched with light on account of the floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Luxe amenities and special touches can be found throughout the home, which is fully-stocked with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. And, per the reviews, it’s an amazing venue for hosting events, from work retreats to parties of all kinds. For example, a guest by the name of Pawla writes:

“The house was absolutely perfect for our group of friends over New Year’s! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the thoughtful details throughout the property. The little notes with instructions for everything made settling in seamless. The luxurious touches, like Kiehl’s bathroom products and even facial scrub for men, were a delightful surprise. The art collection is stunning and added so much character to the space. We were also touched by the pastries and welcome items left for us upon arrival—such a kind and generous gesture. The house itself is spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. It’s clear the hosts have put a lot of care into making their guests feel comfortable and cared for. We’re already looking forward to our next stay. This property is a gem, and we can’t recommend it enough!!”

  • Sleeps: 6
  • Rate: from $685/night
  • Drive Time from NYC: 3hr 15 min
  • Why We Love It: beachfront location, large outdoor space, pool, luxe interior design, numerous amenities

This charming home occupies prime Hamptons real estate along Towd Point Beach and guests can enjoy private beach access, to boot. In other words, it’s the perfect place for a seaside party with the girls. There’s a large gunite pool and a generously-sized outdoor area for lounging and enjoying meals al fresco. The spacious interior features designer furnishings and every amenity under the sun so you can really make yourselves right at home.

  • Sleeps: 8
  • Rate: from $585/night
  • Drive Time from NYC: 3hr 9 min
  • Why We Love It: large private yard, numerous amenities, close proximity to beach and town, comfortable furnishings

“We had a wonderful experience staying in this Airbnb in East Hampton Bays and had an exceptional experience working with Maria. The home is in a cul de sac and the neighbors are close but the home is still private and quiet. Quick drive to the beach and other shopping, restaurants, and amenities.  The house was very comfortable and had a calming aesthetic. The beds/pillows were all very comfortable as was the rest of the furnishings in the home. The home was equipped with all cooking items and even some daily items (I.e. olive oil, spices, aluminum foil) not listed. Maria went above and beyond throughout the weekend to answer questions that arose and check in with us.”

Perfect home to gather with friends and relax,” writes one very happy verified guest by the name of Amanda. And that’s just one of many glowing reviews that this perfect five-star property has received. Other highlights of this luxurious vacation home include a large private backyard with ample outdoor seating, an 8-person dining table that can comfortably accommodate the whole gang, and a destination in the Hamptons that’s downright dreamy.

  • Sleeps: 11
  • Rate: from $1,086/night
  • Drive Time from NYC: 31 min
  • Why We Love It: amazing rooftop space with hot tub, city skyline views, luxe amenities, movie theater, designer everything

Truly spectacular views of the NYC skyline can be enjoyed from the rooftop of this seriously swanky townhome in North Bergen. In my honest opinion, the whole event should really just take place on the roof because that’s how amazing it is. (There’s a ton of seating, a dining area and a hot tub up there, too.) Still, you won’t be disappointed by the roomy interior, either, which is so beautifully designed it deserves a magazine feature. Oh, and did I mention the dedicated theater space with a large screen projector? Basically, this place was created for entertaining and is definitely one of the best Airbnb for a bachelorette party around; there’s even an option ro rent a neighboring townhouse if you have a really big group.

  • Sleeps: 9
  • Rate: from $562/night
  • Drive Time from NYC: 2hr 15 min
  • Why We Love It: lots of gathering areas, close to town, large outdoor space, private pool, numerous amenities

Here, a truly enchanting upstate escape just outside of Woodstock. (If you’re not familiar, Woodstock is a ridiculously charming town with tons of shops and eateries.) The property itself boasts lush gardens, a beautiful outdoor area with a private pool, and a well-appointed interior with any and every amenity you need for a comfortable weekend away. While the home is clearly designed with the needs of families in mind, it’s also set up great to accommodate a large group of any kind. Don’t take my word for it, though, the reviews, like this one from a previous guest named Melissa, speak for themselves: “Wonderful stay! We had a larger group and we were very comfortable in the space. A lot of different areas to hang out in. The home is beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. The team was very communicative and responsive. Overall fantastic experience - our only “complaint” is that we wish we could have stayed for longer.”
